An initiative of Earthwatch Institute

Welcome Back Students

March 4, 2013

The start of autumn signifies changing leave colours, courting and mating, migration, and the start of a new school year.  ClimateWatch is happy to announce its partnership with Australian National University, Deakin University and the University of Western Sydney.  These three universities will be joining our current partners at the University of Western Australia, Curtin University and Monash University to deliver ClimateWatch in their units.

Over the next few months, over 2000 students will be outside observing their environments, trying to record on ClimateWatch focal species.  They'll take to the streets, parks, reserves, and gardens to see how Australian flora and fauna are responding to climate change.  The current projects being undertaken by students range from data validation, species distribution, taxonomy, and phenology reports.

If you are a student or teacher and interested in learning about how you can get your class involved in ClimateWatch, contact us.
