IPCC Fifth Assessment Report Published

On September 30, the full report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) was published.  Climate Change 2013: The Physical Science Basis is the first working group report of three and is the collaborative work of 259 authors from 39 countries. This international report reviews and assesses relevant scientific, technical, and socio-economic literature in order to provide policy makers a clear understanding of climate change. According to the report, 'the atmosphere and ocean have warmed...and the concentration of greenhouse gases have increased' reaffirms the importance of studying biodiversity in Australia and its response to climate change.
